Saturday, April 13th from 1 PM - 4PM

Beep! Beep! Asheville Parks & Recreation is bringing back Truck City AVL to Tanger Asheville. Kids and adults can sit in, explore, touch and ask questions about their favorite trucks and cars all in one place. From rescue vehicles and public works equipment to utility tractors and construction machines, community members have an excellent opportunity to “pull back the curtain” and learn about the equipment and skills required to maintain our cities and towns, foodways, and public safety systems. This community event is open to the public and free to attend.  A quiet hour (no horn honking) is scheduled from 1 PM-2 PM to provide a positive experience for those with autism, dementia, PTSD, hyposensitivity, and other sensory considerations. 

Sunday, April 21st from 12 PM - 4 PM

Charge up and cruise over to Tanger Asheville. The center is teaming up with the Blue Ridge EV Club, Western North Carolina Tesla Owners, Land of Sky Clean Vehicles Coalition and Southern Alliance for Clean Energy to celebrate the 6th annual Drive Electric Car Show sponsored by Sugar Hollow Solar and Hunter Volvo. Spectators will view a wide range of electric cars, as well as the latest in personal electric transportation vehicles. In addition to electric cars, you can check out the latest in personal electric transportation vehicles: electric bikes and bicycles, electric scooters, hoverboards, One wheels and more.
